Enhancing Dental Care through Intraoral Camera, Advanced Digital X-Rays & More

Every investment into our dental practice is made with one purpose in mind: your well-being.

Streamlining procedures, advancing technology, and updating equipment allows for more efficiency, greater comfort for you, and better results overall.

“We are trying to bring our office to the highest standard of care,” Dr. Mike Papastamatis said. “In order to do that we have to be up-to-date in everything digital available to dentists, and we want to offer that to every patient who walks through the door.”

Our latest changes are just a few examples of our commitment to providing you with outstanding dental care and services.

Advanced Digital X-Ray Systems

Our new, top-of-the-line digital X-ray sensors made by DEXIS minimize radiation by as much 10 times when compared with traditional film X-rays. When compared with other digital X-rays, the clarity is much better as well, allowing patients to get a clearer understanding of what is happening in their mouths.

Our new digital X-rays also allow us to more fully pinpoint concerns to ensure optimal diagnoses and treatments.

Intraoral Camera

In addition to offering patients the ability to see clearer with digital X-rays, we have also invested in a MouthWatch intraoral camera. We can use this wand-shaped device to take photographs of certain teeth, and the images can be displayed on a monitor to further help patients understand dental procedures they may need or are undergoing. Monitors can be found beside every one of our dental chairs for these purposes.

An intraoral camera, shown here, enable us to display images on a monitor, allowing patients to see a clearer picture of what is happening in their mouths.

Top-of-the-Line Hygiene Instruments

We regularly update the instruments hygienists use to ensure the tools function as effectively as possible, and we went all out this time.

We recently purchased a line of brand new hygiene instruments by Hu-Freidy, which Dr. Papastamatis describes as the ultimate in instruments. The high-grade, stainless steel instruments won’t rust or dull, ensuring more thorough, safe, and comfortable cleanings and exams.  We also added on brand new Dentsply Cavitron ultrasonic cleaning equipment which is the highest caliber cleaning that can be achieved under the gums.

Going Paperless with New Technology

We have our sights set on going paperless, and we are almost 100 percent there.

Our newest features include text confirmations for appointments rather than the traditional phone call reminders, as well as the ability for patients to complete paperwork online. Our goal is to optimize and enhance communication processes with our patients, and these are two more ways we are making it happen.
